Today I have a walnut shortbread for you, shaped like a crescent moon. They’re perfect for end-of-year celebrations, filling cookie boxes and preparing delicious gifts because they don’t contain eggs or dairy, so they last quite a long time.
Additionally, these cookies are not very sweet since the dough contains no sugar. Sweetness is provided by the icing. On the other hand, we can definitely taste the nuts. Fans will appreciate it. You can also substitute hazelnuts or almonds for the nuts.
In terms of texture, these cookies are very crumbly due to the animal fat used in the dough. I took the beef fat from my partner – this website BienManger.combut lard (lard) can also be used. You could also use butter instead, but the animal fat gives these cookies an unparalleled crunch that melts in your mouth.
