Témoignage: “Je suis accompagnante sexuelle”

Sexual support is a time to provide privacy to people with disabilities in their sex life. In Belgium, there are twenty French-speaking supporters providing this service, framed by the Asbl Aditi. These include Michèle, 38, who was 38, who was testifying in 2019.

Sex support or prostitution?

Michelle said: “I have a lot of respect for sex workers, but the standards of these two activities are different. Prostitution, the motivation is money. In sexual support, it is in sexual support, care, intimacy and happiness for people with disabilities. The agency and Aditi try to fill these aspects by managing these aspects so that these aspects can be managed from needs to specific services.

Show humans

Those who work with Aditi will not stick to it for the duration of their time for purely material reasons. “”You have to feel good about yourself and show a lot of humanity to do this. Michèle explained to us that this practice brought her a lot on a personal level. “When I was told, ‘You didn’t realize the gift you gave me, I was filled with so much kindness and sincerity. It brought me and gave me positive energy. I was always moved by weak people. Whether it was disability, seniors or simply “different” I would see unique humans.”

Activities, not work

All the people accompanying have jobs. This is also what Aditi requires. “It could happen for weeks without being called. Even though it’s emotionally heavy, this collaboration is for me because I feel valued because I feel like I’m bringing some light to someone.”

Response of the entourage

“I would rather not talk about this with my kids. If my husband disagrees, I wouldn’t start this adventure. The only limitation we set is to avoid too intimate gestures, such as kissing gestures. This activity taught me to figure this out, and my life is no longer a small problem. I often encounter their courage and their courage. Their sense of humor, sincerity and tenderness are real life lessons and I become richer. ”

Today, six years after the testimony, Michelle stopped her activities to the association, but it has been several years since.
