It is hard to mention Belgium without talking about beer. So, it is no surprise that in four corners of the country, many breweries are open to the public.

Copper tubes and microbrewers are thriving everywhere in Belgium’s territory, and everyone brings their own personal style to golden, brown, fruity, amber beer… Visiting them is an opportunity to learn more about the brewing process and the advantages of making the drink different from another. Some also allow for real restoration.

In Brussels and Valenia

1. Brasley Louuffe (Luxemburg)

The beer with a red hat label with a red hat is now available in 8 varieties, like a temple making, found in small villages in Achouffe (Wibrin), a few kilometers from Houffalize. The famous Val-Dieu beer was designed in the Notre Dame monastery of the Aubel Cîteaux Order. Val-Dieu Brewery is open to the public during a guided tour (monastery + brewery, booking, 14 euros). Free contact with the courtyard, cathedral and park. A restaurant within the monastery offers beer and local products.

4. Belgian Peak Beer (Liège)

A few steps from the Botrange signal, Belgium Peak Brewery brews 4 beers, including a surprising variety with blueberries. From crushing malt to bottled brewers, you can use brewers to visit the production location. Everything is tasting (visit booking, 14 euros).

5. Brasserie Dubuisson (Hainaut)

Bush Beer, Surfing and Cuvée Des Trolls brewed another stone of Tournai, and all their changes. Dubuisson Brewery (required reservation, 12 euros) was founded in 1769 and is the oldest brewery in Wallonia. It is open to the public, as well as Beerstorium Dubuisson, a history of an interactive beer museum and brewery.

6. Brasserie des Fagnes (Namur)

Discovering 150 years of brewing history and tasting 15 beers Fagnes, Waw or Chevetogne, from the most classic to the most classic. 10:30 am on Saturdays throughout the year and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:30 am on coaching tour during school, 9 euros; free free access from 11 am to 10 pm except Mondays.

7. Brasserie de Bertinthamps (Namur)

This is a beautiful square farm. Completely renovated, it welcomes modern copper tube installations, namely Berdery of Bertinvinhamps, managed by a family of enthusiasts. The label’s B has a large B, such as Bertintehamps, Belgium, beer (4Vaiétés) or the family’s master brewer Benoît for 35 years. To discover the backstage of the family brewery, visits were made at 10:30 am on Saturday and Sunday (after registration, 6 euros). On site, there is also a restaurant that emphasizes local products.

Since 1900, Cantillon brewery has stagnated and produced various beers. These were always made of crafts, machines and tools of the time, during the visit (Saturday, booking, 13 euros). However, breweries no longer produce enough beer to meet demand.

In the heart of Louvain, the university town, Stella Artois brewery produces one of the most famous Belgian Bills in Belgium. His visit (by booking, €17.50) allows you to discover the brewing room, meet the masters and take a painting class. Apparently planned to taste at the Stella Artois bar on the roof of the brewery.

10. West Flanders

Brugse Zot and Straffe Hendrik beer are in the heart of Bruges, at the family brewery in Halve Maan. A 45-minute visit (booking, €16) ends with a tasting and allows you to discover their manufacturing process and brewing room.
